The first local event of the WONDER project was held in Fano on 19th of November 2021 as part of the public meeting open to all citizens entitled “RIGHTS…TOWARDS A BETTER WORLD”. The event focused on the presentation of the Wonder Project’s CITY AGENDA.
The general event was held on the occasion of the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of Fano, City of Girls and Boys” and was linked to the International Day for the Rights of Children and Adolescents. Therefore, it was the ideal setting for the Mayor of the city to present the CITY AGENDA, created by the municipal administration as one of the results of the WONDER project, to the school children and their families, as well as to all the citizens who attended the ceremony.
Basing on what has been achieved in the first thirty years of “Fano, City of Girls and Boys”, the CITY AGENDA is a policy and orientation document which highlights new strategies, services, initiatives to be implemented, other existing ones to be continued and strengthened, as well as possible criticalities, all to make Fano an increasingly child-friendly city.
On this occasion, many children from Fano’s primary schools and the members of the Council of the Girls and Boys met at the Pincio’s garden to play, sing together and exchange opinions with the aim of honoring the signing of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
